Raghuveer Chaudhary (English: Raghuveer Chaudhari, born: December 5, 1938) is a famous novelist, poet and critic of Gujarati language. He has also been a columnist in many newspapers. Raghuvir Chaudhary taught at Gujarat University and retired in the year 1998. Apart from Gujarati, he has also written in Hindi. In 1977, he was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award. It has been announced to give the 51st Jnanpith Award to Raghuveer Chaudhary for the year 2015.

Raghuveer Chaudhary’s composition ‘Rudra Mahalaya’ is considered an invaluable heritage of Gujarati literature. He has written more than 80 books so far. Among these, Amrita, Sahavas, Antarvas, Purvarang, Venu Vatsal, Tamasha, Trilogi Upvaras, Somtirtha and Vriksha Patanama are prominent. Raghuveer Chaudhary is the fourth Gujarati litterateur to receive the Jnanpith Award. Before him, Umashankar Joshi, Pannalal Patel and Rajendra Shah have received this honour.
