Mohit Grewal was born on December 20, 1999 in Bamla village of Bhiwani, Haryana. There are many wrestlers in his family. His father Jagdish has also done wrestling. For this reason, since childhood, Mohit saw wrestling, akharas and riots around him. However, initially Mohit Grewal wanted to become a swimmer. He has also learned swimming and judo. He has also won medals at the national level in swimming, but gradually his interest turned towards wrestling and he started wrestling at the age of 13.
