Nareshchandra Singh (English: Nareshchandra Singh, born- 21 November, 1908; died- 11 September, 1987) was an Indian National Congress politician and former sixth Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from 13 March 1969 to 25 March 1969.
Naresh Chandra Singh’s tenure as Chief Minister was only 13 days. Raja Naresh Chandra Singh became the Chief Minister after the resignation of Govind Narayan Singh, the Chief Minister of the coalition government formed through manipulation. Govind Narayan Singh broke away many MLAs and took them to the Congress. Due to this, the government of the first tribal leader of the state fell. Later, due to differences with his party, he resigned from all the posts and retired from politics.
After the fall of the Samvid government, Gond tribal king Nareshchandra Singh was the Chief Minister from March 13 to March 25, 1969. Raja Nareshchandra Singh of Baisgarh of Chhattisgarh was the ruler of Sarangarh state in Central India. He merged his state with India on January 1, 1948. After this, Raja Nareshchandra became a prominent leader of the Congress. He won the first election in 1952. He was made a cabinet minister in Ravi Shankar Shukla’s cabinet in the first assembly of Madhya Pradesh. He worked as a bridge between the government and the tribals.
Raja Nareshchandra was a member of the second, third and fourth assembly. He was a minister of many departments in Madhya Pradesh. After this, he handed over the legacy to his wife and daughters. In the 1967 Lok Sabha elections, Princess Rajnigandha Devi won the election. Kamala Devi became a member of the assembly. Pushpa Devi Singh won the Lok Sabha elections thrice.
