Karnataka News Desk !! Of. Chengalarai Reddy (English: Kyasamballi Chengaluraya Reddy, born- May 4, 1902, Kolar district, Karnataka; Death- 27 February, 1976) was the first Chief Minister of Karnataka. In his political life, he embellished many important positions. Of. C. Reddy was the leader of the Mysore Legislative Assembly and Chief Minister of the state three times in a row. From 1965 to 1971, he also took the post of Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
Birth and education
Of. C. Reddy was born on 4 May 1902 in a village in Kolar district in Karnataka. Under his education, he did his B.A. And received a law degree.[2]
Work on various posts
The year 1835 to 1937 C. Reddy was the appearance of ‘Mysore People’s Federation’. You were also the editor of ‘Janvani’ for some time. In 1937-1938 and 1946-1947 K.K. C. Reddy was the President of Mysore Congress and performed Satyagraha for the establishment of responsible rule in the state of Mysore. He was also a member of the Executive of the Native State Praja Parishad in 1944–1945. Of. C. Reddy was the leader of Mysore Legislative Assembly and Chief Minister of Mysore State for three consecutive times (from 1947 to 1952). He was also a member of the Indian Constituent Assembly from 1947 to 1950. In the year 1952, K.K. C. Reddy was elected a member of the Mysore Legislative Assembly and was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1952 to 1957 and Minister of the Department of Production. He was a member of the Lok Sabha from 1957 to 1964. Of. C. Reddy was also the founding member of the ‘School of Economics’. In 1957–1961, he was the Minister of construction, housing and supply and was the Minister of Commerce and Industry in 1961-1962. In the year 1963-1964 K.K. C. Reddy was the deputy leader of the Congress party of Parliament.[2]

Of. C. Reddy also traveled to the United States, Russia and United Kingdom.
Governor
Of. C. Reddy continued to decide the post of Governor of Madhya Pradesh from 11 February 1965 to 8 March 1971.
Death
Of. C. Reddy died on 27 February 1976.
