Lovepreet Singh (English: Lovepreet Singh, born 6 September 1997) is an Indian weightlifter. He has won the bronze medal in the men’s 109 kg weight category at the Commonwealth Games, 2022 held in Birmingham, England. This was India’s 14th medal in the Commonwealth Games, 2022. At the same time, this is Lovepreet Singh’s first medal in the Commonwealth Games. Lovepreet Singh lifted 163 kg in snatch, while he lifted 192 kg in clean and jerk. In this way, he won the medal by lifting 355 kg weight.
Lovepreet Singh was born on 6 September 1997 in Punjab. In his weightlifting career, he has won major weightlifting competitions like the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship. Lovepreet Singh plays for the Indian Navy at the national level. While playing for the Indian Navy, he has won many weightlifting competitions. Lovepreet Singh hails from Amritsar, Punjab. He has won medals representing India in the 2017 and 2021 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships. Lovepreet Singh, who weightlifts in the 109 kg category, represented India in the 2017 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships, the 2017 and 2021 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships.
