They are from the state of Manipur in India. Mary Kom has been the winner of Vishwash Boxing Competition five times. He won a bronze medal at the London Olympics 2012. Mary Kom was born on 1 March 1983 in the family of a poor farmer in Churachandpur district of Manipur. The story of Mary Kama’s life describes the spirit of not giving up even in difficulties. Mary Kom won the National Women’s Boxing Championship for the first time in 2001. She states about her experience of the first international competition that I was very nervous. The Government of India awarded the Arjuna Award in the year 2003 to illuminate the name of India in the world of boxing and was awarded the Padma Shri in the year 2006. On July 29, 2009, she was jointly selected with boxer Vijender Kumar and wrestler Sushil Kumar for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, India’s highest sports honor. In the year 2013, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan.
