According to the Hindu calendar, this time the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Paush month is starting on Monday, January 6 at 6.23 pm. This date will end on Tuesday, January 7 at 4:26 pm. In such a situation, if Udaya Tithi is considered then Durgashtami fast will be observed on 7th January.
Worship method of monthly Durgashtami-
Let us tell you that on the day of monthly Durgashtami, wake up early in the morning and take bath etc., after that clean the place of worship and the temple thoroughly. Now dress the idol of Mother Goddess in red clothes. After this, spread red clothes on the post and install the idol of the Mother Goddess. Now offer water to Mother Goddess and light a ghee lamp, after that offer sixteen makeup items to Mother Goddess Bhagwati, also offer red chunari, red flowers and Akshat and offer it to the idol of Mother Goddess. After this, recite Devi Chalisa, finally end the puja by performing the Aarti of Mata and also perform the puja aarti in the evening.
