Mohammad Khatami (English: Mohammad Khatami, born: September 29, 1943, Iran) was a reformist Iranian leader who voted for the 1997 elections in the name of liberating women and youth. He was the fifth President of Iran.
He was born in the central Yazd province of Iran.
Mohammad Khatami’s father’s name is Ruhollah Khati and mother’s name is Sakineh Zia.
He is married to a woman named Zoreh Sadeghi with whom he has two daughters – Leila and Nargs and a son – Imad.
Mohammad Khatami’s theory was an Islamic republic which advocated freedom under Islamic laws.
