Nabakrushna Choudhury (English: Nabakrushna Choudhuri, born 23 November 1901; died 1984) was the second Chief Minister of Orissa. He held this post from 12 May 1950 to 20 February 1952, and then from 20 February 1952 to 19 October 1956.
To make Odia language the language of administration in the state and make it accessible to the people, Navkrishna Chaudhary had enacted the Odia Language Act in 1954. After leaving the post of Chief Minister, Navkrishna Choudhary remained associated with ‘Bhoodan Movement’, ‘Sarvodaya Idaalan’ and continued working for the welfare of the people throughout his life.
