Shashikala Kakodkar (English: Shashikala Kakodkar, born- January 7, 1935; died- October 28, 2016) was a famous female politician of India. She was also the former second Chief Minister of Goa. He took over the post of Chief Minister of the state after the death of his father Dayanand Bandodkar, the first Chief Minister of Goa.

Shashikala Kakodkar, affiliated with the ‘Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party’ (MGP), was the Chief Minister of Goa twice – from August 12, 1973 – June 7, 1977, from June 7, 1977 – April 27, 1979. Sasikala Kakodkar’s father, Dayanand Bandodkar, was the first Chief Minister of Goa. He obtained the post of Chief Minister after the first Legislative Assembly elections held in 1963 by polarizing the voters on caste and religious lines. After the death of her father in 1973, Sasikala Kakodkar became the second Chief Minister of Goa and was removed from this post in 1979 due to a split within her party.
