Entertainment News Desk – Great musician Omkar Prasad Nayar, also known as OP Nayar, died of a heart attack on 28 January 2007 at the age of 81. He made his debut in Hindi cinema from the 1949 film Kanees and worked as a music director in the 1952 film sky. Nayyar has done a lot of work with singers Geeta Dutt, Asha Bhosle and Mohammad Rafi, but she never worked with Lata Mangeshkar. In 1952, Lata Mangeshkar was selected to sing in the film sky, who is an independent musician’s form It was Nayyar’s first film. Birth and family
Omkar Prasad Nayar was born on 16 January 1926 in Lahore, undivided India. He was interested in music since childhood. But Nayar’s family members prevented him from going towards music. But OP Nayar felt that if he went away from music, he would not be able to pay attention to his studies. Nayyar’s mind was filled with music. In such a situation, he composed Kabir Vani for HMV at the age of 17, but it was not liked much. He then composed a private album ‘Pritam on Milo’. The CH soul gave it a voice.
