On this day, there is a custom of worshiping and fasting. This date is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the savior of the world. On this day, worshiping and fasting are considered beneficial.
According to the Panchang, Bhadrapada month is going on right now and Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of this month is known as Parivartini Ekadashi which is being celebrated today i.e. on 14th September, Saturday. It is considered beneficial to do Puja and fasting on this day.
But there are some such works which should not be done even by mistake on Ekadashi day, otherwise the fast can be broken and the person gets blamed, so today we are telling you about those mistakes.
Do not make these mistakes on Ekadashi-
If you are worshipping on Ekadashi and are going to offer food to Lord Vishnu, then you must include Tulsi leaves in it. It is believed that God does not accept the offering without Tulsi leaves and neither does it give any fruit. In such a case, Tulsi leaves should be plucked and kept a day in advance.
Eating rice on Ekadashi is considered forbidden, so if you eat rice on this day, it can break your fast. Sleeping on Ekadashi is not good, so avoid sleeping on this day and meditate on singing bhajans of Lord Vishnu. One should not wear black clothes on this day even by mistake, it is considered inauspicious.
