Preeti Singh (English: Preeti Singh, born: 26 October, 1971) is an Indian English language litterateur, novelist and editor. Her first novel “Flirting with Fate”, published in 2012 by Mahavir Publishers, was a best-selling novel and she has become an award-winning author with her second book, “Crossroads”. His second novel, Crossroads, is the first novel in India to feature real-life people as characters. This novel of Preeti Singh has been registered in the India Book of World Records.

Preeti Singh was born on 26 October 1971 in Ambala. She belongs to a military family. His father, Major General Shri Kulwant Singh, retired from the Indian Army and mother, Mrs. Sonya Singh, passed away due to lung cancer. Preeti received her schooling from La Martiniere School, Lucknow. She is a graduate from MCM DAV Women’s College, Chandigarh with English Honors and a Masters in English Literature from Panjab University, Chandigarh. Preeti Singh obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Delhi and started her career as an editor with Amity University, Noida. B.Ed from Annamalai University. After graduation, he taught in various army schools of the country. Before this, she had also worked in an SEO company as a creative content writer. Presently she lives in Chandigarh.

Preeti Singh’s debut crime thriller novel “Flirting with Fate”, published in 2012 by Mahavir Prakashan, was nominated for the Commonwealth Booker Prize and awarded Best Debut Crime Fiction 2012. The book Flirting with Fate is a story of the 80s that starts in Shimla, when there were no laptops, mobiles etc., just Fiat cars, landline phones and Doordarshan. This thriller is the story of a young boy’s journey starting from his childhood when he realizes that a man reaps what he sows. Anand, a boy who plays blindly with his destiny but ends up losing and continues to commit crimes, also comes face to face with the book’s theme of karma coming first. Preeti Singh’s first book was released in July 2012 by Haryana’s Transport Commissioner and popular author Vivek Atre in the presence of author Nirupama Dutt.

In her second book Crossroads, author Preeti Singh has captured the state of mind of women through a story. The story depicts the inner dilemma of an unsuccessful lover in which she faces many crossroads and what decision she should take and on whom she should live, these are the fabric of these. Crossroads is an untold story of the journey of almost every Indian woman. This is the story of the journey of Kavita, who is under mental pressure due to domestic violence and harassment and decides to choose a different path to regain the lost happiness and mental peace as a wife. In the year 2015, his novel Crossroads was translated into Hindi by writer Parul Rastogi.
