Pukhraj Bafna (English: Pukhraj Bafna, born 14 November 1946) is an Indian doctor who is a pediatrician and adolescent health consultant. He was awarded ‘Padma Shri’ for his work in the year 2011.
Dr. Pukhraj Bafana was born on November 14, 1946 in Rajnandgaon in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. He graduated in Medicine (MBBS) from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur in 1969 and received the medical degrees of DCH (1972) and MD (1973) in Pediatrics. Pukhraj Bafana also holds a Doctorate degree from Jain Vishwa Bharati University, Ladnun. He is credited with a book ‘Status of Tribal Child Health in India’. So. Pukhraj Bafana has been writing health column in Hindi newspaper ‘Sabera Sanket’ for more than 40 years. He has also participated in many seminars and chaired many conferences.
