According to the Hindu calendar, the Trayodashi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month is starting at 1:42 am on the night of 15 September and on the Trayodashi Tithi, Lord Shiva is worshipped during the Pradosh period, so the Pradosh fast of this month is being celebrated on 15 September, Sunday, i.e. today.
It is best to worship Lord Shiva on this day during Pradosh Kaal i.e. evening time. It is believed that if the Shiva family is worshipped during this auspicious time, then the devotees get auspicious results and all the sorrows and troubles of life go away.
