He won a bronze medal for India in the Asian Junior Squash Championship in February 1977. He has been a four-time national champion in India. Ritwik Bhattacharya was born on October 14, 1979 in Venezuela. His childhood up to 8 years was spent having fun there. There he enjoyed swimming and playing baseball.
