Rohit Sardana (English: Rohit Sardana, born- 22 September, 1979; died- 30 April, 2021) was an Indian news anchor. He was not just a journalist who anchored sitting in the studio, but whenever there was any big news in the country, Rohit Sardana always reached ground zero and reported from there. Even the biggest person would become uncomfortable in front of his questions. He anchored for the news channels ‘Zee News’ and ‘Aaj Tak’.
Rohit Sardana was born on 22 December 1979 in Kurukshetra, Haryana.
He hosted ‘Tal Thok Ke’, a program which discussed contemporary issues in India on Zee News.
Rohit Sardana held a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
From the year 2000 to 2002 she completed her academic work by pursuing Masters degree in Mass Communication from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology.
He anchored a show named ‘Dangal’ on the ‘Aaj Tak’ news channel. This show was compared to Radio Rwanda.
In the year 2018 he was awarded the ‘Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award’, 2018 by the Government of India.
Rohit Sardana died of a heart attack after testing positive for COVID-19 on 30 April 2021 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. President Ram Nath Kovind, Narendra Modi, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, cricketer Suresh Raina, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and many others condoled his untimely demise.
