When will Sharad Purnima be celebrated?
According to the Hindu calendar, every year the full moon in the month of Ashwin is celebrated as Sharad Purnima. On this day, there is ritual of worship and fasting. This time Purnima Tithi is starting from 8:40 pm on 16th October and will end the next day i.e. on 17th October at 4:55 pm. According to Udaya Tithi, the festival of Sharad Purnima will be celebrated on 16th October only.
The Nishita Kaal Muhurat of worship on this day is from 11:42 pm to 12:32 am the next day. Apart from this, moonrise on Sharad Purnima will happen at 5.05 in the evening. According to religious beliefs, if Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi are duly worshiped on the auspicious day of Sharad Purnima and saffron kheer is offered to the goddess, then financial problems end and the blessings of the mother are showered.
