This year, Shardiya Navratri has started on Thursday, 3rd October and will end on 11th October. During the nine days of Navratri, nine different forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped and fasts etc. are also observed. It is believed that doing so increases the auspicious results.
The second day of Navratri is today i.e. 4th October, Friday, which is dedicated to Maa Brahmacharini form of Maa Durga, so today we are telling you about the fast story of Maa Brahmacharini through this article.
Fast story of Maa Brahmacharini-
According to the legend, the mother had performed rigorous penance to attain Lord Shiva and her form was called Shailputri, but the rules that the mother followed during the penance and the kind of pure and sacred conduct she maintained during this penance, are the same. That’s why she was called Brahmacharini.
Simple worship method-
Let us tell you that on the second day of Navratri, wake up early in the morning, after taking bath etc., wear clean clothes. Now remember the form of Maa Brahmacharini in the goddess idol present in the house. Bathe the mother with Panchamrit. After this, offer white or yellow colored clothes.
Offer Roli, Akshat, sandalwood to Mother Brahmacharini. Now offer Hibiscus or red flowers to the Goddess. After this, meditate on Mother Goddess and chant mantras. Perform Goddess Sadhana as per the rituals and after this perform the Aarti of Maa Brahmacharini and offer Bhog. Then chant the mantras given below.
