Jijabai was living a despised life despite being talented in the high clan. Jijabai was from the Yadav dynasty. His father was a powerful and influential feudal. The child Shivaji was brought up under the supervision of his local patron Grandpa Konddev, Jijabai and Samarth Guru Ramdas.

Early life

Shivaji was a descendant of influential elbows. At that time there was Muslim rule over India. The Mughals in Northern India and the Muslim Sultans in Bijapur and Golconda in the south, all three ruled their power and did not have a feeling of duty towards the subjects. Shivaji’s ancestral property was in the Deccan ruled by the Sultan of Bijapur. He found the repression and religious harassment being done by the Muslims so unbearable that by reaching the age of 16, he was convinced that God has appointed them for the liberation of Hindus. His belief continued to guide him throughout his life. Her widowed mother, who was a Hindu elite woman with independent thoughts, taught her to fight for the rights of buried Hindus and uproot Muslim rulers from birth.

Shivaji and Jaisingh

In order to crush Shivaji, King Jai Singh took a treaty with the Sultan of Bijapur and took over the fort of ‘Vrajgarh’ on 24 April 1665 AD in the first phase of his plan to do the fort of Purandar. While protecting the fort of Purandar, Shivaji’s extremely brave commander ‘Murar Ji Baji’ was killed. Knowing himself unable to save the fort of Purandar, Shivaji offered the treaty with Maharaja Jai ​​Singh. The two leaders agreed on the terms of the treaty and the ‘Treaty of Purandar’ was completed on 22 June 1665 AD.

He attended the Mughal Durbar on May 9, 1666 with his son Shambhaji and 4000 Maratha soldiers, but Shivaji called Aurangzeb ‘treacherous’ in the filled court for not receiving proper respect by Aurangzeb, which concluded Aurangzeb, Shivaji and His son was imprisoned in ‘Jaipur Bhavan’. From there, Shivaji hid in the fruit basket on August 13, 1666 AD and reached Raigad on 22 September 1666 AD. A few days later, Shivaji wrote a letter to the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and said that “If the emperor forgives him (Shivaji), he can send his son Shambhaji again to the Mughal service.” Aurangzeb accepted Shivaji’s conditions and gave him the title of ‘Raja’.

Coronation

By 1674, Shivaji had captured all the states which had to give him to the Mughals under the treaty of Purandar. After the establishment of an independent Hindu nation in western Maharashtra, Shivaji wanted to commit his coronation, but the Brahmins strongly opposed him. Shivaji’s personal secretary Balaji Av Ji took it as a challenge and he sent three messengers to a Brahmin named Gangab in Kashi, but Gangab turned down the proposal, because Shivaji was not a Kshatriya. He said that only bring proof of Kshatriya, only then he will do the coronation. Balaji Av Ji sent the relationship of Shivaji to the Sisodia dynasty of Mewar, so that he came to Raigad, satisfied and committed the coronation.
