Shri Shrivatsa Goswami (English: Shri Shrivatsa Goswami, born- 1950, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh[1]) belongs to a distinguished family of Vaishnav scholars and artists from the Braj region. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy from Banaras Hindu University and has taught philosophy and religion at BHU. Presently Shrivatsa Goswami is associated with various scholarly bodies including ‘Indian Council of Philosophical Research’, ‘Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts’ and Alliance of Religion and Conservation based in Delhi, the capital of India. He is the director of Sri Chaitanya Prem Sansthan in Vrindavan.
Acharya Shri Shrivatsa Goswami belongs to the distinguished scholar and spiritual family of the famous Shri Radharaman Temple located in Vrindavan. Besides, he is a world famous personality of Hindu especially Vaishnav tradition. After receiving postgraduate education in Philosophy from Kashi Hindu University, he met the renowned philosopher Prof. T.R. Studied various scriptures deeply for a long time with V. Murthy.
Shri Goswamiji was appointed as ‘Invited Scholar’ at Harvard and Heidelberg University. Many universities of the world have invited you to conferences on religion, philosophy and culture. Your works on subjects like Rasleela, Vaishnav tradition, Radhatattva etc. have been published in publications of universities like Princeton, Berkeley etc. ‘Celebrating Krishna’ is your famous book.

Shrivatsa Goswami is the founder director of Shri Chaitanya Prem Sansthan, established under the inspiration of Jagadguru Shri Purushottam Goswamiji, which is a leading organization for the preservation and promotion of Braj culture, which has an unmatched contribution in both cultural and educational directions. Shrivatsa Goswami has been the director of ‘Brajprakalp’ for the last three decades. In this long-term multidisciplinary research project under the co-auspiciousness of Sri Chaitanya Prem Sansthan and National Center for the Arts, New Delhi, 10 books on the culture and history of Braj have been published.
Among many other commitments, Acharya Shrivatsa Goswami is dedicated to promoting harmony among different religions around the world. Goswami ji’s insistence is towards the involvement of religion and environmental protection. You are an active member of peace and environmental organizations like Religion for Peace, World Council of Churches, Universal Peace Federation, Inter Religious Federation for World Peace, Elijah Institute.

Shri Srivatsa Goswami was invited by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the President of the World Bank to represent the Hindu tradition at the historic meeting held at Lambay Palace, London.
In 2000, you delivered the Carpenter Centenary Memorial Lecture organized by the Hibbert Trust at the University of Oxford.
In 2006, US President George Bush had given special advice to you during his visit to Delhi.
In 2007, you were invited by the Inter Action Council to a conference of more than 40 heads of government in Vienna, Austria as a resource person on religion.
You were a keynote speaker at the centennial celebration of the American Academy of Religion in 2009.
In 2011, on the silver jubilee of the Assisi Prayer, Pope Benedict XVI invited you to the Vatican to deliver a keynote address as the Hindu representative.
You were a keynote speaker at the UN General Assembly’s ‘Interreligious Coordination Week’ in 2012.
In 2014, you participated as an expert in the important consultation of the United Nations Organization regarding coordination of cultures in Bali.
The President of India presented him with the Holistic Scholarship Award of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi at the Center for Culture and the Arts.

For multidimensional presentations of Braj culture, Acharya ji had organized ‘Brajmahotsav’ in Delhi in 2009 and ‘Anandmahotsav’ in Jaipur in 2011. In which Indian culture was honored internationally through discussions, lectures, exhibitions, music, dance and theater presentations.
