Sitakant Mahapatra (English: Sitakant Mahapatra, born – 17 September, 1937, Odisha) is a famous writer of Odia language, awarded the ‘Jnanpith Award’ in 1993.
In 2003, the Government of India honoured Sitakant Mohapatra with the ‘Padma Bhushan’ in the field of literature and education. The poetic world of his poetry is created from a solitary blend of reality and feeling. The cultural base of his poems is the product of his experience.
