Virendra Saxena was born on 25 November 1951 in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. He did his schooling from this city. Virendra Saxena has done B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Tried to do MA in Political Science. But left for a year. Virendra is the youngest among four siblings. His father worked as a stenographer. But after his death occurred early, everyone had more responsibilities. The elder brother started earning outside and Virendra Saxena started teaching tuition. He started earning money from it. After this he came to Delhi. Here he was the secretary of King Mahendra Pratap. He had to write three letters a day. He was living by doing this. If he had made 5 on such a day, he would have been satisfied with earning Rs 10. But later it was not working. Life moved on and he went to NSD again. Theater was done after 6 years of doing this. But then it started increasing to two and a half thousand. Nevertheless, if the economic situation did not improve, he came to Mumbai.

Virendra Saxena has shown skill in Hollywood also
Bhisham Sahni worked in the base serial ‘Tamas’ and left an impression on the audience. After this, ‘Raag Darbari’ was also done. Then he came to the big screen. In the same year, Mahesh Bhatt was making ‘Aashiqui’. Got an important role in this. He was featured as a street singer in the song ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’ from this film.
