A former beauty queen of Switzerland has been brutally murdered by her husband. Miss Switzerland finalist Kristina Joksimovic was murdered in Binningen near Basel. 38-year-old Kristina was allegedly strangled to death by her husband. After this, the husband adopted many disgusting tactics to hide the body. He cut the body into pieces. Then he tried to hide the body by grinding the pieces of the body in a blender and dissolving it in acid. Later, Kristina’s body was seen by an unknown person and the next day the husband was arrested.
How was it revealed
The case came to light when Christina’s body was found in a mutilated condition in February. After this, the authorities started investigating. Police soon found out that she was strangled before being mutilated. Her husband, known as Thomas in the media, has confessed to the murder. Swiss media outlet FM1 Today reported that Thomas cut his wife’s body into pieces using a saw, knife and garden scissors. After this, he used a hand blender to grind the remains and tried to melt them by pouring acid. When the case came to light, the investigating officers were also shocked.
Attacked to save himself- accused
On the other hand, husband Thomas has claimed that he committed this murder to protect himself. He alleged that Christina had attacked him with a knife. However, this could not be proved in the medical report. The examination of the dead body revealed how her body was cut into pieces. The court in Lausanne rejected his appeal for release. According to the court, the accused is in a bad mental state.
Police had come earlier also in connection with domestic violence
Christina and Thomas got married in 2017. Both of them were living a prosperous life in a big house. Christina had also posted her recent pictures just four weeks before this incident. However, according to a friend of the couple, their marriage was not going well for months.
