History News Desk!! Suchitra Bhattacharya (English: Suchitra Bhattacharya, born- January 10, 1950; died- May 12, 2015) was a famous Bengali female novelist. He had a special interest in writing since childhood.
Suchitra Bhattacharya graduated from Jogamaya Devi College, Kolkata, affiliated with the University of Calcutta. After completing his education, he got married and took rest from writing for some time.
She returned to writing in short stories in the late seventies (1978–1979). He started writing novels in the mid-eighties. Within a decade, especially after the publication of the novel ‘Kachar Deval’ (Glass Wall), she became one of the leading writers of Bengal. He died of a heart attack on 12 May 2015 at his private residence in Dhakuria, Kolkata.
