History News Desk !! Surendranath Dwivedi (English: Surendranath Dwivedy, Birth- 11 February 1913; Death- 1 October 2001) was a well-known politician, social worker and journalist from Orissa. He was the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh from 26 March 1991 to July 4, 1993.
Surendranath Dwivedi ji was born on 11 February 1913 at a place called Khandasahi in Cuttack district of Orissa in undivided India. He was elected from 1957 to 1970 representing the second, third and fourth Lok Sabha, representing the Kendrapara parliamentary constituency of Orissa. Prior to this, he was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1952 to 1956. From 1964 to 1967, Surendranath Dwivedi continued to do as a member of the Chairman’s panel during the Committee of Third Lok Sabha and Public Undertakings. He was one of the governors of the search council. Surendranath Dwivedi was a member of the Indian delegation in the Asian Socialist Conference, Rangoon and the first session of the United States.
