Surendranath Dwivedi (English: Surendranath Dwivedy, born- 11 February, 1913; died- 1 October, 2001) was a well-known politician, social worker and journalist of Orissa. He was the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh from March 26, 1991 to July 4, 1993.[1]
Surendranath Dwivedi ji was born on February 11, 1913 at a place called Khandsahi in Cuttack district of Orissa in undivided India. He was elected to the second, third and fourth Lok Sabha from 1957 to 1970, representing the Kendrapara parliamentary constituency of Orissa. Earlier he was a member of Rajya Sabha from 1952 to 1956. From 1964 to 1967, Surendranath Dwivedi served as a member of the Chairman’s Panel during the Third Lok Sabha and the Committee on Public Undertakings. He was one of the Governors of the Search Council. Surendranath Dwivedi was a member of the Indian delegation to the first session of the Asian Socialist Conference, Rangoon, and the United States.
