Tarak Mehta (English: Taarak Mehta; born- 26 December 1929, Ahmedabad, Gujarat; Death- 1 March 2017, Ahmedabad) was an Indian writer. He also translated a variety of humor story etc. into Gujarati. Tarak Mehta’s weekly article first came into a weekly newspaper called ‘Chitralekha’ in March 1971. Tarak Mehta was awarded the Padma Shri Award in 2015.[1]
Introduction
Tarak Mehta was born on 26 December 1929 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He passed matriculation in 1945 and MA in 1958 from Building College, Mumbai. Got the degree. He translated many types of comic story etc. into Gujarati. His first wife’s name was Illa. Tarak Mehta has a daughter from his first wife, named Ishani.

Tarak Mehta is mainly known for writing an article in a Gujarati language called ‘World Chashma’. In 2008, Asit Kumar Modi made the serial ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ on this story. Tenure
Tarak Mehta was a deputy editor in daily democracy in 1958 in 1958 to Gujarati Natya Mandal. However, he did not work in the newspaper for a long time and after some time he joined the Information and Broadcasting Department. From 1960 to 1986, Tarak Mehta was a Content Writer in the Information and Broadcasting Department of the Government of India, later became an officer there.

Tarak Mehta’s weekly article first came into a weekly newspaper called ‘Chitralekha’ in March 1971. In 1971, he published 80 books in which 3 books were based on an article printed in a newspaper called ‘Divya Bhaskar’.
