Tariq Ali Khan (English: Tariq Ali Khan, born November 9, 1951) is a former Indian film actor known for his excellent acting talent. He appeared in only 16 films in Hindi cinema. ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’ (1973), ‘Zakhmi’ (1975) and ‘Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahin’ (1977) are his superhit and memorable films. Tariq Khan is the cousin of Aamir Khan, one of the superstars of Hindi cinema.
Actor Tariq Khan was born on November 9, 1951 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name was Azhar Ali Khan and mother’s name was Aneez Khan. The song ‘Kya Hua Tera Vaada’ from the 70’s film ‘Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahin’ was a superhit song of its time. Even today, whenever this song is heard, the face of actor Tariq Khan comes to the fore on whom this song was filmed. Tariq Khan started his career in 1973 with the film ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’. This film was a hit, but Tariq did not get much benefit from it. After this, Tariq worked in the film ‘Jakhmi’ in 1975. This film flopped, so Tariq once again missed becoming a star. Then Tariq Khan got the film ‘Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahi’ in 1977. This film proved to be a milestone for Tariq. Tariq did an excellent job in the film. After this film, girls became crazy about Tariq.
Tariq Khan, who started his career in the 70s, emerged as an actor who gave three back-to-back musical films like ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’, ‘Jakhmi’ and ‘Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahi’. After this film, Tariq Khan’s film innings continued. He kept getting offers from many films one after the other and the caravan of success continued like this, but his caravan stopped after a few years and he disappeared from the film industry. Tariq Khan did about 16 films in his career.
After the film ‘Jewar’ released in 1987, Tariq Khan stopped getting work. One reason for this was that his last 6-7 films were consecutive flops. These films included ‘Khwaja Ki Deewani’, ‘Naram Garam’, ‘Bhool’, ‘Jabardasth’, ‘Paise Ke Peeche’ and ‘Baat Ban Jaye’. After this, Tariq made a comeback after 8 years i.e. in 1995 with the film ‘Mera Damad’. However, this film also flopped. After this, Tariq decided to leave the film industry. He completely stayed away from the limelight. Tariq Khan had revealed in one of his interviews about leaving the film industry. In this he said that he had started feeling unsafe. According to Tariq Khan, ‘I started feeling that I have reached a stage where my career is not safe. So I wanted a job where my career was secure.
Tariq Khan is today a supervising executive in a well-known shipment company. Apart from this he has also done a Diploma in Travel Ticketing and Cargo Forwarding. Tariq Khan is away from films today and is occasionally seen in some events. He has kept distance from all types of film functions. According to him, he is very happy in his small world.
