A shocking incident has come to light from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, the video of which is now going viral on social media. The incident took place on Monday in Guntur, about 40 km from the state capital Amaravati. When the policemen were destroying liquor bottles worth Rs 50 lakh that were confiscated, a crowd started gathering there and a group of men pounced on them like flies on honey.
According to a report by NDTV, the incident took place at a dumping yard on Etukuru Road in Guntur, where the police were in the process of destroying confiscated liquor by bulldozing it. In the video, people can be seen rushing in as soon as the policemen placed the liquor bottles on the ground to destroy them. Some people managed to run away with several bottles, while the policemen kept trying to stop them.
Despite the policemen shouting “Oye…Oye…Oye”, people were running away with the liquor bottles. However, the police did not use force on anyone, just tried to stop them and put the bottles back. Now the police is investigating the matter and trying to identify those who stole the liquor. This incident has garnered a lot of discussion on social media.
A few days ago, a mini truck loaded with liquor fell into the Son river in Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh. Police sources said that a mini truck fell into the river from the bridge of Son river on Shahdol-Rewa road last night, due to which the liquor bottles kept in the truck got scattered. Meanwhile, many passersby looted the liquor bottles. According to the police, the liquor was being transported from Shahdol to Byohari.
