A heartbreaking case has come to light in Brazil, where an eight-month-old baby girl was found alive during her funeral. When the family members were near the coffin at the time of the incident, they saw that the girl was moving. Seeing this, they immediately decided to take him to the hospital but when the family reached the hospital, their hopes were once again shattered.
The girl’s father told the media that his family was already upset but grief once again surrounded them. “A little bit of hope had arisen, but sorrow struck again,” he said. Doctors again declared the girl dead upon reaching the hospital. The girl was earlier admitted to the hospital due to viral infection, where doctors declared her dead. Doctors said that he was not breathing and his heart was not beating.
When the girl was once again brought to the hospital, the doctors tried to save her life but declared her dead again after 24 hours. This incident has shocked not only the family but also the local people.
The local municipal corporation and hospital have apologized to the family and Brazil’s Scientific Police has started an investigation into the matter. For the first time, the hospital has admitted its mistake in declaring the girl dead and the municipal corporation has assured the family that they will complete the investigation within 30 days.
