After this, there was a lot of uproar there. People present in the zoo told that suddenly the panda started barking. After this, it was revealed that it was a dog. The incident is of Shanwei Zoo, which is in Guangdong province. It is worth noting that the panda is the national animal of China, but the zoo people had painted the dog and made it look like a panda. Its video has been posted on TikTok in China, which is becoming quite viral. It has been shared more than 1.4 million times so far. At the same time, more than 725,000 users have seen it.
In another photo shared on social media, it is standing near a signboard. This signboard reads, ‘Painted Dogs’. It further reads, ‘We are called Panda Dogs, a pet dog that looks like a panda, painted and prepared by Chow Chow. We are gentle, smart, friendly, cute and adorable.’ At the same time, zoo manager Huang said that dogs are the biggest attraction for people here.
This is not the first time a dog has been painted like a panda or other animal. In May, a zoo in eastern Jiangsu province caused outrage when it painted two dogs in black and white to look like pandas. After much criticism, the zoo admitted that it had done so.
Similarly, in 2019, a cafe in the southwestern city of Chengdu was criticized. This cafe offered people a service to paint their pets to make them look like pandas. At the same time, in 2016, action was taken against a pet shop in Guangdong. At this shop, dogs were being sold after painting them like small cheetahs.
