Nandita Arvind Moraji was born on 25 December 1974 in Mumbai. When Nandita turned towards films, she changed her name to Nagma. His father Arvind Moraji’s ancestors belonged to the royal family of Jaisalmer, whose next generation shifted to Porbandar and his grandfather’s family later settled in Mumbai. Nagma graduated in commerce from National College, Mumbai University. She did her schooling from a convent school. Nagma wanted to try her hand in acting since her college days and started her career with modeling.
Nagma’s film career
Nagma made her Bollywood debut in the 1990 film ‘Baaghi’ in which her opposite was superstar Salman Khan. The film was a flop but in 1994 the film ‘Suhaag’ was released which became Nagma’s first hit film. In this, she was paired with Akshay Kumar and the song ‘Gore-Gore Mukhde Pe Kala-Kala Chashma’ from the film became quite famous. After this, Nagma also appeared in successful films like ‘King Uncle’ with Shahrukh Khan. Nagma worked with big names of Tamil and Telugu cinema like megastars Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna. Nagma and Sourav Ganguly’s affair
According to Dainik Bhaskar, Nagma and Sourav Ganguly first met during the 1999 World Cup match. After this, both were seen together many times at different places. According to reports, Nagma had also admitted that she was in a relationship with Sourav and he wanted to divorce his first wife to marry her but Nagma did not want this.
