The circumstances of the family changed, due to which Farah’s father Kamran got shocked and drowned in alcohol and then one day he died due to liver rupture. Farah had also told the story of her bad times in ‘Indian Idol 13’. He told that he did not have a house to live in, he and his mother also lived in a store room for about 6 years. When his father died he had 30 rupees. Along with her studies, Farah dreamed of becoming a dance choreographer. Farah told in an interview that she considers Michael Jackson as her guru. She will try to dance like him. When Farah was working as a supporting artist in the film ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ in Ooty, she got the opportunity of choreography for the first time. Because the choreographer could not reach. And Farah was told that you should do choreography. In this way he got his first opportunity for choreography. Farah directed dance sequences in many films.
‘Main hoon na’ changed fate
Farah Khan met Shahrukh Khan on the sets of the film ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na’. And both became good friends and worked together in many films in future. He won the Filmfare Best Choreography Award 6 times for his choreography. After this Farah directed her first film ‘Main Hoon Na’, in which Shahrukh was in the lead role. The film was a blockbuster and Farah became a top director. After this Farah has directed many films.
