History News Desk !!! Tika Ram Paliwal (English: Tika Ram Paliwal, Birth- 24 April, 1909; Death- 8 February 1995, Jaipur) was a politician of the Indian National Congress and the Bhur East Chief Minister of Rajasthan. He was the Chief Minister of Rajasthan from 3 March 1952 to 31 October 1952.
Elections were held in the country for the first time in 1952. For Lok Sabha and Assembly. When the results came in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Jayanarayan Vyas lost both the seats. Jayanarayan Vyas was made the Chief Minister of Rajasthan after Heera Lal Shastri. Under his leadership, the Congress contested the first election in the state. In the earlier Vyas cabinet, Tika Ram Paliwal was not just a minister. Deputy CM was also made. Therefore, when CM Sahab i.e. Vyas ji lost, his deputy i.e. Tika Ram Paliwal was made CM. Anyway, Tika Ram Paliwal proved to be twenty in these elections. While his political guru Jayanarayan Vyas lost both seats, Tika Ram Mahua and Malarna Chaur won from both places.[1]
In Rajasthan, Heera Lal Shastri and Tika Ram Paliwal have been such leaders who did not take government bungalows even while holding the post of Chief Minister. Tika Ram Paliwal did not take the government bungalow even after being the Chief Minister’s post and stepped away from the post. He stayed in the house of Seth Ram Gopal Sehria (Agrawal) of Kaladera at New Colony Five Batti intersection in Jaipur. Sehria was his friend.
