Life introduction
Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia was born in 1919 AD in the Rana family of Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. Vijaya Raje Scindia’s father Mr. Mahendra Singh Thakur was the deputy collector of Jalaun district, and Vijayaraje Scindia’s mother was Mrs. ‘Vindeshwari Devi’. Vijayaraje Scindia’s former name was ‘Accounts Divyeshwari’. Vijayaraje Scindia was married to Maharaja Rao Scindia of Gwalior on 21 February 1941, 1941 AD. Vijayaraje Scindia’s sons are Madhavrao Scindia, daughter Vasundhara Raje Scindia and Yashodhara Raje Scindia.
Political journey
Gwalior is one of India’s largest and rich Raje – the princely states. Vijayaraje Scindia became a Member of Parliament on a Congress ticket after the death of her husband Jeevaji Rao Scindia. Vijayaraje Scindia left the Congress and joined the Jana Sangh (BJP) due to the guidelines of her helpless values. Vijayaraje Scindia’s relationship, despite being a royal family, became popular in the party due to her honesty, simplicity and commitment. And soon she surfaced as Shakti Pillar in the party.
In 1957, Vijayaraje Scindia contested the Congress and defeated the Deshpande of the ‘Hindu Mahasabha’ by 60 thousand 57 votes in two angular matches. The 1967 election was contested by Vijayaraje Scindia as an independent candidate and Congress’s D.K. Jadhav was defeated by one lakh 86 thousand 189 votes. Vijayaraje Scindia was once again a BJP candidate from Guna in the general election of 1989. Earlier, 22 years ago, Rajmata won from there in 1967. The Congress fielded Mahendra Singh Kalukheda against him. Kalukheda defeated by 1 lakh 46 thousand 290 votes at the hands of Rajmata
In the 1991 election, Vijayaraje Scindia again defeated Congress’s Shashibhushan Vajpayee by 55 thousand 52 votes. Vijayaraje Scindia again became a candidate in the 1996 election and he made a hat -trick of her victory on the BJP ticket. P. Singh was defeated by one lakh 30 thousand 824 votes.

In the 1998 election, Vijayaraje Scindia continued the process of his victory continuously for the fourth time. He then defeated Devendra Singh Raghuvanshi of Congress by one lakh 29 thousand 82 votes. In the 1999 election, the unhealthy Rajmata left this asandi to her son Madhavrao Scindia and in 1999 Madhavrao Scindia defeated her nearest rival Deshraj Singh of BJP in the presence of five candidates by two lakh 14 thousand 428 votes.
Death
Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia of the dynasty of Gwalior ruled the hearts of the people for years. From 1998, Rajmata’s health started deteriorating and on 25 January 2001, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia passed away.
