Let us tell you that today on the day of Vinayak Chaturthi, wake up in the morning and take bath etc. for fasting and worship. After this wear clean clothes. Then clean the place of worship and sprinkle Ganga water. After this, place the idol of Lord Ganesha on a wooden post. Then apply kumkum tilak and offer a garland of yellow flowers. Now light a lamp of desi ghee and offer modak to Lord Ganesha. After this, worship Shri Ganesha as per the rituals and also chant Vedic mantras. After this, read the fast story and finally conclude the puja by performing aarti of the Lord.
