Pawan Kalyan was born on 2 September 1971 in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh to a Telugu family. His father’s name is Konidala Venkat Rao and mother’s name is Anjana Devi. The actor studied at St. Joseph’s High School, Nellore. Pawan Kalyan’s real name is Konidala Kalyan Kumar. He was awarded the title of ‘Pawan’ by the Isshin-Ryu Karate Association after his good performance in martial arts. The actor is also a black belt in Karate.
The actor started his early career in the year 1996 with the film ‘Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi’ directed by EVV Satyanarayana. His second film ‘Gokulmalo Sita’, which was released in the year 1997. It was a drama film. In this film, Pawan Kalyan was first introduced as ‘Pawan Kalyan’. The actor’s third film was ‘Susavagatham’, in which he was given the title of ‘Power Star’ for the first time.
