Maurice Garnier Hallett (English: Maurice Garnier Hallett, born October 28, 1883) was the former Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. He was the Home Secretary in the Government of India.
He received his education at Winchester College and New College, Oxford. Sir Maurice is married to Cladis. In 1907, he became I.C.S. Joined (ICS). Worked as Magistrate and Collector in India in 1916. He held the post of Secretary in the Government of Bihar from 1920-1924. He was the Chief Secretary of Bihar and Orissa from 1930-1932. He was the Home Secretary, Government of India from 1932-1936. Was the Governor of Bihar from 1937-1939. He held the post of Governor of Uttar Pradesh from 1939-1945.
