Rajendra Yadav (English: Rajendra Yadav, born: 28 August 1929 – death: 28 October 2013) was the editor of the famous Hindi literary magazine Hans and a popular novelist. Rajendra Yadav did M.A. from Agra University in 1951. Passed the (Hindi) examination with first division and first position. Even at a time when Hindi literary magazines were facing untimely death, the continuous publication of Hans was possible only because of Rajendra Yadav. He had equal command over all the genres of literature including novel, story, poetry and criticism.

Rajendra Yadav died on 28 October 2013 (midnight Monday) in New Delhi. He was 84 years old. Rajendra Yadav’s health suddenly deteriorated and he started having trouble breathing. He was immediately taken to a private hospital after 11 o’clock. But he died on the way. Rajendra Yadav was a strong pillar of Hindi literature. Rajendra Yadav is considered one of the founders of the ‘New Story’ era in Hindi literature. He started the Nai Kahani movement with Kamleshwar and Mohan Rakesh.
