Entertainment News Desk – The country will celebrate its 76th Republic Day on 26 January 2025. On this occasion, the parade organized on the duty path of Delhi will present a glimpse of the diversity, cultural heritage and progress of the country. This time the chief guest at the 26 January celebrations is Indonesia President Prabovo Subiano.
The main information of the parade
The Republic Day parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 10:30 am and will go through the path of duty to the Red Fort. This time the parade will include 26 tableaux, in which 15 states and union territories and 11 ministries and departments are participating. The tableau of Uttar Pradesh Mahakumbh will showcase the historical and cultural heritage of 2025.
Themes and special glimpses
This year the theme of Republic Day is ‘Golden India- Heritage and Development’, which tells the story of India’s cultural prosperity and progress. For the first time, the Joint Tableau of the Army, Navy and Air Force will be part of the parade, which will showcase the country’s military strength and coordination.
Chief Guest and Program
This time Indonesia President Prabovo Subiano is the chief guest on Republic Day. It is also a symbol of 75 -year diplomatic relations between India and Indonesia.
Where will the parade go through
Republic Day Parade will start from Rashtrapati Bhavan and end at the Red Fort passing through Vijay Chowk, Kartavya Path, C-Hexagon, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s statue, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar (BSZ) Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg passing through the Marg.
Metro will give shuttle service
On 26 January, all ticket holders in Delhi Metro will get free travel facility. Special shuttle services will also be available from metro to parade site. According to the traffic advisory issued by the Delhi Police, the C-Hexagon-India Gate route will remain closed from 9:15 am to cross the Tilak Marg. Apart from this, the movement of vehicles in both directions will be closed from 10:30 am on Tilak Marg, BSZ and Subhash Marg.
