Pakistan said on Tuesday that 11 of its military personnel were killed and 78 others were injured in a recent military conflict with India.
The army also claimed in a statement that 40 civilians were killed and 121 others were injured in ‘without provocation and condemnable cowardly attacks’ on the night of 6-7 May.
India and Pakistan on Saturday announced an agreement to end the struggle after drone and missile attacks through the border for four days.
The Pakistani Army said that while protecting the country, 11 personnel of Pakistan’s armed forces were killed and 78 others were injured.
The slain soldiers include Pakistani Air Force Squadron Leader Usman Yusuf, Chief Technician Aurangzeb, Senior Technician Najib, Corporal Technician Farooq and Senior Technician Mubashir.
The statement said that the military personnel killed in the attack include hero Abdul Rahman, Lance Naik Dilawar Khan, Lance Nayak Ikramullah, Nayak Waqar Khalid, constable Muhammad Adil Akbar and constable Nisar.
The army claimed that 40 civilians including seven women and 15 children were killed and 121 others were injured in the attacks carried out by India on the night of 6-7 May.
The statement said that the Pakistan Armed Forces strongly responded to the banner of ‘Mark-e-Haq’ and carried out accurate and harsh attacks through ‘Operation Bunyan e Marsus’.
The statement said that Pakistan’s Armed Forces along with the people of Pakistan pay tribute to the late citizens and military personnel.
It said, “There should be no ambiguity: Pakistan’s sovereignty or any attempt to challenge regional integrity, again, will be given quick and decisive answer anytime.”
