Sunita Williams, astronaut.
Cape Kenwarral (America): Due to technical fault in space vehicle, 2 passengers stranded in space for several months have now been prepared to be brought back to the earth. Soon both passengers will be brought back safely. These include Indian -origin astronaut Sunita Williams, whose return is also awaited by all Indians. According to NASA, two astronauts of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) trapped at the space station including Williams can be brought back to Earth a little before the scheduled time.
The US space agency NASA said on Tuesday that ‘SpaceX’ would change the capsule for upcoming astronaut flights to bring Buch Wilmore and Sunita (Sunita) Williams back back in mid -March or in mid -March instead of early March. He has been stranded at the international space station for more than eight months. Steve Stitch, manager of NASA’s commercial crew program, said in a statement, “The space journey is full of unexpected challenges.”
New capsules will be tested on March 12
Testing pilots were to be brought back to Boeing’s Starlineer Capsule in June. But the capsule had so much trouble reaching the space station that NASA decided to bring it back empty. SpaceX then delayed sending new capsules in view of the need for more preparations, which made the mission to bring Wilmore and Williams back. Now the new capsule will be launched on 12 March. This old capsule has already been handed over to a private crew. (AP)
