At least 21 people have been reported dead due to a tornado in two US states. Kentki officials said 14 people died due to inclement weather, while seven people died in Missouri, including five people in the city of St. Louis. The tornado at Kentki came to Laurel County in the southeast on Saturday morning. Officials said they are expected to increase the death toll. Missouri officials said 5,000 buildings were damaged due to a tornado on Friday, roofs were destroyed and power lines fell in many areas.

In this tornado, the houses of about 6.50 lakh people have lost their lights. The fire department said that households were searched in the most affected areas. Officials in Kentki said that serious injuries have also been reported. Laurel County’s Sheriff John Root said in a post on social media, “The search for the survivors in the damaged area continues.”

The National Meteorological Service Radar suggested that a tornado came immediately after 14:30 pm near the forest park in the west of the city. The St. Louis Fire Department said three people were rescued after a part of the nearby Centennial Christian Church collapsed. In order to prevent debris injuries and reduce the possibility of looting, two areas where the most damage occurred was imposed curfew from 21:00 to 06:00 pm local time. Mayor Kara Spencer of St. Lewis said: “Loss and destruction of life is really frightening.
The storm caused havoc
“We have to do a lot of work in the coming days. There is no doubt, but tonight we are focusing on saving people’s lives and keeping them safe.” The US National Meteorological Service stated that a tornado came in the neighboring Illinois, and the weather situation became even more serious to the East side.
