283 Indians got relief in the deception of job in Myanmar, embassy returns homeland

The 283 Indian citizens trapped in Myanama have been rescued and brought back to India who were forced to commit cyber crime by luring attractive jobs.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that the Indian embassies in Myanmar and Thailand have coordinated with local authorities to ensure a safe return of Indian citizens through the Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft from Mai Sot, Thailand.

The ministry said that India is constantly making efforts for the release and return of its citizens who have taken to various South-East Asian countries, including Myanama, by fake offering attractive jobs.

He said, “These people were later forced to participate in cyber crime and other activities of fraud in scam centers operated in areas bordering Myanmar-Thailand.”
