Drug
According to officials, Indonesian officials stopped the ‘Legend Aquarius cargo’ ship on the basis of secret information. During the investigation, a large amount of narcotics were recovered from this ship. During the court hearing, the defense said that the testimony of the ship’s captain was necessary, but he only appeared virtually which could not examine.
Decision may come on 15 April
The defense counsel argued that it was not possible without the knowledge of the drug trafficking captain on such a large scale. The prosecution has demanded a ‘death sentence’ for the accused. The head of Indonesian National Narcotics Agency, Marthinus Hakom, said that the three Indian citizens are the owners of drugs. The decision in this matter is expected to come on April 15. (Language)
