Islamabad: Four people have died in Pakistan before the protests by jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party PTI stopped. While more than 50 people have been injured. Let us tell you that after the strictness of the government, PTI on Wednesday formally announced to stop its protest. But before this, at midnight, 4 people died in the clash between police and protesters. PTI blamed the actions of the authorities for this.

Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had earlier claimed that hundreds of people had died in violent clashes with security personnel. Amid concerns over the whereabouts of Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, who led the march to Islamabad, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the party said they were both in Mansehra town near Abbottabad in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Authorities have begun reopening roads and cleaning up sites where vandalism took place during the three-day PTI protests.

Protestors evacuated the area

After the midnight crackdown, Khan’s supporters had to vacate D-Chowk and its surrounding areas in the capital. PTI termed the crackdown as “genocide” under “fascist military rule” while police sources said around 450 protesters were arrested during the crackdown. In a press release shared on its official ‘X’ handle, PTI said, “In view of the government’s brutality and the government’s plan to turn the capital into a slaughterhouse for unarmed people, (we) will continue to hold peaceful protests for some time.” Announce suspension.” The party said the next step would be taken based on Khan’s instructions. Earlier on Tuesday evening, PTI supporters clashed with officials of law enforcement agencies, following which they succeeded in staging a sit-in at D-Chowk as part of the Islamabad march that began on Sunday.

6 security personnel also died

Six security personnel were killed and dozens were injured in clashes between supporters and police. Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, who led the march from Peshawar to Islamabad along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, said the protesters would not leave until Khan was released from jail. However, the security personnel continued their efforts to remove them from the area. Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister’s Office, Parliament and the Supreme Court are located around D-Chowk. Around midnight, police and rangers launched an operation to clear the Blue Area business area.

Imran Khan had called for demonstration

The 72-year-old former prime minister, who has been in jail since August last year, had given a “final call” for nationwide protests on November 24. He made this call on 13 November. Khan had reportedly condemned the theft of mandate, unjust arrest of people and the passage of the 26th amendment to the Constitution. On the 26th amendment of the Constitution, he had said that it has strengthened the “dictatorial rule”. Khan has been lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail since last year and according to his party, he has more than 200 cases registered against him. (Language)
