Dhaka: At least 40 people have been arrested under Operation Devil Hunt in Bangladesh. After his arrest, the police have started questioning. It is said that all of them have been arrested after a violent attack on a student group activists during the vandalism in the house of a leader of the Awami League on the outskirts of Dhaka. Many people were injured in this attack. The government of Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus ordered a “Operation Devil Hunt” on Saturday night after the attack on students and common people in Ghazipur district. According to the news of ‘United News of Bangladesh’, Ghazipur Superintendent of Police (SP) Chaudhary Jeber Sadiq said that 40 people from different parts of the district were arrested under the campaign.
Accused of destroying all signs of Sheikh Hasina
Those arrested are accused of destroying and vandalizing all the signs of the Awami League, the party Awami League of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on Friday night. At least 14 people were injured due to an attack in the Dakshin area of Ghazipur city due to that fierce crowd. The violence took place during the attack on the residence of the former liberation struggle case minister Mozammati Haq. After this, the attempt to arrest the attackers has intensified.
