Karachi: A painful accident has occurred in Karachi, Pakistan. Six people have died due to falling roof of a house in Afghan Basti here. Officials have given information about this accident. A senior police official said that construction work was being done in a house in Afghan Basti on the outskirts of Karachi when the roof collapsed. After the accident, there was a stir in Afghan Basti.
What is Afghan Basti?
There are several neighborhoods of Afghan refugees in the outskirts of Karachi, commonly known as Afghan Basti. Four other people, including two children, have also been injured in the incident of falling the roof of the house, one of whom is said to be critical. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

In-charge of Gulshan-e-Maymer police station (SHO) Aga Asadullah said that 10 members of the family were sleeping when the roof fell. Asadullah said, “Four girls died on the spot, while two girls were declared dead in the hospital.” Dr. Summaiah Syed said that five girls who lost their lives were 7, 8, 10, 14 and 20 years old. Asadullah said that the house was in old and shabby condition. (Language)
