Beijing: There has been a tragic accident in Guizhou province of South-Western China. Four tourist boats in the Wu river overturned due to a sudden strong storm. 9 people died and one person has gone missing in this accident. Information about this has been given by China’s government media.
Accident caused by strong winds
According to government media, the accident occurred due to strong winds at a tourist destination in Guizhou. During this time more than 80 people fell into the river with boats. Initial reports were informed about the turn of 2 boats, but later the Xinhua news agency confirmed that a total of four boats overturned in the accident. It is not clear whether there was any victim on the other two boats. The Wu River is a tributary of Yangtji, the longest river in China.
